Clube Atlético Juventus began under that pull in 1924, registered first as Extra São Paulo, renamed Cotonifício Rodolfo Crespi a year later, and only in 1930 given the name it carries now. The claret and white kit points the other way, though, borrowed instead from Torino. No formal tie to either Italian club exists.

The academy earned the nickname Moleque Travesso , and it produced Thiago Motta, who left for Barcelona B in 1999 before the career that followed elsewhere. Two products of that same academy, Luizão and Vampeta, were part of Brazil's 2002 World Cup-winning squad; Vampeta returned to close his career at the club in 2005.

Home matches are played at Estádio Conde Rodolfo Crespi on Rua Javari, a ground built for 5,256 but capped at 3,800 seats under current safety rules.

The under-20 side has taken the Campeonato Paulista Sub-20 title twice, in 1984 and 1985, and reached the final without winning it in 2001, 2010 and 2017.
