Tigres de Alica

The Estadio Nicolás Álvarez Ortega, also called Arena Cora, sits at just over 12,900 seats after a reconstruction pushed toward a 12,600 capacity.

Antonio Echevarría Domínguez, president of Grupo Álica, presented the project on 8 July 2021, and the team entered straight into the Tercera División Profesional for that season. Three years later it topped Group 15 of the Liga TDP, then beat Sultanes de Tamazunchale, Obson Dynamo, Aves Blancas and H2O Purépechas in the promotion playoffs to secure a place in the Liga Premier de México Serie A, sealed on 18 May 2024. Tigres de Álica kicked off in Serie A on 28 June that year as the only side from Nayarit in the division.

Irving Rubirosa took the bench with a championship medal from his playing days at Toluca in 2006 and a Liga de Ascenso title won as manager of Alebrijes de Oaxaca. Under him, captain Osmar Cerna has carried the attacking weight; his winner against Estudiantes Tecos in October 2025 kept the team's early Serie A form intact.

Matches against Xalisco FC already draw the name Clásico Nayarita, and Fernando González, product of the club's own 2006-category youth side, is the kind of name the academy will be judged on.
