«Haukat»
Haukat go into this season having just climbed out of the Suomi-sarja, the third tier of Finnish hockey, after beating Laser HT 3-1 in the 2025-26 final to take the title outright, five years after finishing runner-up to Karhu HT.
The name itself has moved more than the team has. Founded on 17 April 1979, the club spent the mid-1990s within reach of the top flight, reaching the promotion playoffs for the SM-liiga in 1996-97 before losing 0-3 to KalPa.
Petri Varis wore the shirt in 1994-95 before a long career in the top division with Jokerit and Ässät, and Kimmo Kuhta passed through a season later, in 1997-98, on his way to becoming a fixture at HIFK.
Games are played at Järvenpään jäähalli, a rink that holds 1,312 in blue and white.
