Katty Martínez wore América's colours for a single season, 2022/23, and left with the Clausura 2023 title in hand.
Club América Femenil was founded on 5 December 2016, the day the Mexican federation announced Liga MX Femenil would exist at all, and it entered that inaugural season the following year as the women's branch of the men's club. 5 at the Nido Águila training complex in Coapa, which holds around 840.
Tigres has been the recurring opponent in the finals that mattered, a rivalry built match by match rather than by geography. The other fixture, against Chivas, carries the name of the men's game across into the women's: Clásico Nacional.
