Afyon Bld. Yuntas Women

Match report

THY Women saw off Afyon Bldytas 3-1 in the Sultan's League on Sunday, taking all three points away from home. Both sides entered the fixture having won their opening match, each sitting on two points in the table.

The visitors took the lead early and never looked back. By then the hosts were already on the back foot, chasing the game rather than shaping it. The old head settled them down far too late to matter.

Both teams now share the same tally after one game played. THY sit seventh while Afyon Bldytas remain sixth — a margin that could easily shift with a single result.

We were backing the away side at 72 per cent confidence before kickoff. The visitors had the sharper edge in recent outings, winning three of their last four across all competitions.

Afyon Bldytas had beaten Kuzeyboru Gençlik Spor 3-2 midweek before this defeat ended their momentum. THY, meanwhile, had won three straight in similar fashion against local opposition.

The scoreline tells one story. The reality is that one mistake ends it, and the hosts paid for it. THY held their nerve until the final whistle.
