«Koll»
Koll's women enter this season as the team every rival in Norwegian volleyball measures itself against, and 2024 explained why: the NM-gull, the Mizunoligaen title and, in January, the Kongepokal all went to Oslo in the same twelve months.
The volleyball section sits inside Koll IL, a multi-sport club dating to 1940, though the sport itself only started there in 1986. It did not take long to become the section the name is now known for.
Between 2000 and 2010 Koll took the NM-gull eleven years in a row. Two further titles, in 2022 and 2024, brought the total to sixteen. The Mizunoligaen came later and less often — 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2024 — but arrived alongside the cup wins rather than instead of them.
Training runs across Kringsjåhallen, NIH, Tåsen Skole and Korsvollhallen, and the club counts around 1,200 members under the colours of light blue, dark blue and white. The junior sides have followed the same pattern on a smaller scale, with NM Gold at under-15 level in 2018 and under-19 in 2022.
Koll met Randaberg in the Kongepokal final on 20 January 2024 and won 3-1.
