Three girls' teams from Volda took national gold in a single year. In 2025, KFUM Volda's U17, U19 and U15 squads each won NM Gold, seventeen wins in seventeen matches, to book its place in the Eliteserien.

The senior team arrives in the top flight with no league title or cup run behind it. The strength lower down goes further back: alongside the three golds, the club has an NM Silver from an earlier U19 campaign and sand volleyball titles in 2025 at GU16 and JU21 level. Volda has also hosted the NM U19 championship, in 2022 and again scheduled for 2026.

Matches are played at Volda Campus SpareBank 1 Arena, opened in December 2020 with a 12.5-metre ceiling built for the game. The club, formed in 1964 as part of the Kristelig Forening for Ungdom movement, plays in blue shirts and black shorts.

2,200 is the arena's capacity.
