The opening moment came quickly enough to catch the eye. By the two-minute mark, Ahmad Faqa had already put the away side in trouble with an own goal that changed the complexion of the game before either team had truly settled. It was a costly error, and Sirius took advantage immediately.

We had called for a home win with 58 per cent confidence, and the match played out as expected. Sirius were out-thought on the touchline by their opponents, but they threw everything at it when it mattered. The support of the fans could be called devoted, but that is an assessment, not a fact.
