Amyntas — NE Megaridas: 65:62, Greek A2

Aminthas secured a 65:62 victory over Megaridas in the Greek A2 league on Friday. The hosts held their nerve after a recent setback to edge the visitors in what proved a tight affair.

Megaridas arrived with momentum after their 76:59 win over Korivos Amaliadas three days earlier. They had extended their unbeaten run to eight across their last five fixtures, but this time could not find the same rhythm.

The match itself was decided by fine margins. Aminthas, who had suffered a 61:70 defeat to Sofadon on their previous outing, did not travel to make up the numbers. Instead they relied on composure in the closing stages, and by then the visitors had already thrown bodies in the way without success.

Megaridas sit fourth in the table after 28 games, with 20 wins and eight losses. The result keeps them within striking distance of the leaders, though the gap remains tight enough that one mistake ends it.
