In the Primera División game on 30 August 2026, Alianza Atlético beat UCV Moquegua 1:4. Match numbers: shots on target 3:6, corners 5:4.
Match report
Alianza Atlético took all three points from UCO Mokegua in the seventh round of the Clausura, winning 4-1 at the Estadio Monumental. The visitors opened their account in the twentieth minute when Bryan Angulo found the net for the hosts, though that moment would prove to be their only highlight of a frustrating afternoon.
Jairo Molina levelled matters just four minutes later, and José Luján put Alianza ahead in the fifty-sixth minute. Cristian Penilla doubled the lead in the sixty-first minute before Bryan Angulo's second effort was cancelled by VAR in the sixty-seventh. The host side had already lost Yorman Zapata to a red card in the sixty-eighth minute, leaving them to chase the game with ten men.
And here's the thing — UCO Mokegua kept possession for 53 per cent but managed only one big chance, while Alianza created two with less time on the ball. The hosts registered six shots on target with three accurate, but the visitors were more clinical with two successful efforts from six attempts. By then the match was effectively over.
To be fair, Alianza's defensive organisation was impeccable. They made 23 clearances compared to the hosts' 18, and their five interceptions disrupted several dangerous sequences. The visitors also won 17 dribbles against 10, showing more willingness to take players on in the final third.
The result moves Alianza further from the relegation zone, while UCO Mokegua remain rooted in fifteenth place with 25 points from 24 games. The hosts have now lost 11 of their 24 matches, and the gap to safety is growing. Alianza sit eighth with 34 points and fancy their chances of securing a lower-table position by season's end.
