Brod na Savi Women

Slavonski Brod sits on the Sava, a mid-sized Croatian town whose sporting attention has traditionally gone elsewhere; women's basketball there had no real home until a group of parents and coaches built one. ŽKK Brod na Savi was put together on 10 September 2010 around fourteen cadet players, brought under one roof by Dražen Rimarčuk together with Mirna Mikić and Damir Božić, two coaches who had been working through the town's basketball schools. The club took its working name, BNS, straight from that founding group rather than from any marketing exercise.

Growth showed first in the youth categories: the cadet side reached the Croatian Cadet Championship final in 2015 and came away runners-up, while the regional titles that followed in Slavonija i Baranja and in the East kept feeding players up through the club rather than out of it. That patience turned into something concrete in the 2025/26 season, when the senior team reached the final of the Premier Women's League and swept ŽKK Šibenik three matches to none, closing out the deciding game 92-59 to take the club's first Croatian championship.

Home games are played at Vijuš Hall on Stanka Vraza, the same street where the club keeps its offices. The hall itself took twenty years to finish before it finally opened in November 2009, just months ahead of the club's own founding, so BNS has never known another ground. It holds 2,200 people.
