Club Baloncesto Morón managed a historic achievement in 2024, when a squad coached by José Antonio Santaella climbed out of LEB Plata after nine straight seasons there and reached LEB Oro.

The club traces back to 1993, taking up basketball in Morón de la Frontera after the sport had disappeared from the town two years earlier with the closure of CD Arunci's section. The Liga EBA title of 2014-15 came more than two decades after the refoundation, won with a 24-5 record in its group and followed by four Copa EBA Sevilla wins along the way.

Locally the club answers to "Los Moronenses," and its sharpest fixture on the calendar is the Seville Provincial Derby against Insolac Caja 87 of Dos Hermanas.
