Zamora

Zamora's fixtures against Real Valladolid Baloncesto carry a name, the "Derbi castellano". That changed in 2024, when Zamora won promotion to LEB Oro, now Primera FEB.

The season that got them there began with a cup. In the Copa LEB Plata final they beat FC Cartagena CB 95–89 in double overtime. They then took the promotion play-off against Albacete Basket, which gave the club a cup and a promotion in the same season. JahVaughn Powell was part of the side that did it.

Before that came a long stretch with no such prizes. Zamora spent 22 consecutive seasons in the Liga EBA, from 1994 to 2016, a run that ended only when the club moved into the professional leagues.

The names on the shirts changed almost as often as the players. The club has carried Zamora Citroën, Frinca Zamora, Caja España Zamora, UFC Zamora, Innova Chef and Zamora Enamora, and is now Caja Rural CB Zamora. Media often call the team los amarillos, though its colours are blue and white. Home games are played at the Pabellón de Deportes Ángel Nieto, which holds 2,100.

The club began in 1977, when local enthusiasts set out to organise basketball across the province and give it a federation to belong to.
