The Pazo dos Deportes Paco Paz carries the name of Francisco Paz Sotelo, a former manager of the club, and holds 6,000 people.

Promotion came in 1989 as champions of the 1ª División B. On the Galician calendar the games against Breogán of Lugo are the "Derbi do Miño", and the Copa Galicia was won seven times between 1992 and 2006.

The Copa LEB Plata came in 2007 and the LEB Plata title in 2012. In 2015 the team finished as runners-up in the LEB Oro playoffs and earned promotion, but the ACB assembly first rejected the entry. It was later ratified for 2016–17, yet the club did not play in the top flight that season because of financial and bureaucratic problems.

Fans call themselves "Cobistas", after COB, the club's initials, and some call the team "Mazorca", the corn cob, a pun on the same three letters.
