Melilla

Melilla spend this season in Primera FEB, the division they returned to after only a year away. Relegation to Segunda FEB in 2024 was the club's second drop in its history, and the team came straight back up.

The first relegation, from LEB Oro in 2013, never took effect in the standings. Vacant places in the division kept Melilla where they were. Three years later the team won the LEB Oro playoff final against CB Peñas Huesca and earned promotion to the Liga ACB, the top flight. The club then resigned the place, citing the financial and infrastructural requirements of the league.

The club's cups come from the level below that. The Copa Príncipe de Asturias, contested by second-tier teams, went to Melilla in 1999 against Menorca Bàsquet, in 2001 against Bàsquet Manresa, and again in 2010.

The club was formed in 1991 by merging Baloncesto Melilla and CB Gran Tercio. Its first season was played as Unicaja Melilla, an affiliate of the ACB side Unicaja. The current name came later, with a sponsor's variant, Melilla Ciudad del Deporte, in use as well. Navy blue, light blue and white are the colours. The youth academy, sponsored by Total Logistic, feeds the senior squad.

The home arena holds 2,900 and is named after Javier Imbroda Ortiz.
