The Pavilhão Municipal Padre Amadeu Pinto holds 410 people, twelve of those seats set aside for spectators with disabilities, in a hall of 1,100 square metres that went up around 2009 in Vila Nova de Santo André.

The club, registered as Atlético Basquete Clube de Santo André, grew out of Santiago do Cacém at the end of the last decade, and its rise through the divisions has been steady rather than dramatic. In 2021 it topped the 1.ª Divisão Nacional, the promotion that put it into the Proliga for the first time, and that single campaign remains the one honour the club points to. It has not troubled the Proliga's own list of champions since.

Beyond the league programme, ABC Santo André turns out each season for the Taça de Portugal and for the Troféu António Pratas, competitions that ask less of a small-town club than they give: a chance to test itself against opposition it otherwise would not face. Neither has produced a trophy, and the club's identity still rests on that one promotion rather than on any run in the cup.

Four hundred and ten seats is what the town gave its team to play in front of.
