Umea

In 2018 the club playing under the Udominate Basket name changed sponsors again and became A3 Basket, the latest label on a women's side that had already been renamed once since its breakaway from KFUM Umeå's basketball section in 2012, when the parent club dropped its women's programme and the players kept going on their own. The men's side took a different route, waiting until February 2014 to register itself as a separate legal entity, Umeå BSKT, so the team that had spent years playing under the KFUM Umeå banner could professionalise its operations.

The women's team justified the reshuffling. In the 2018–19 season A3 Basket beat Högsbo Basket 3–1 in the final to take the Swedish Championship. The men have come closest to matching it in the 2022–23 season, when Umeå BSKT reached the semi-finals of the playoffs before falling short.

Both teams share Gammliahallen, known commercially as Umeå Energi Arena, though basketball nights there are tighter than the venue's listed capacity suggests: around 1,200 seats are configured for games rather than the hall's general 2,000. On court, the men's side plays in black, white and orange, the women in black and white.

Geography shapes the men's fiercest fixtures. Trips to Jämtland Basket and BC Luleå fall under the "Norrderby" tag, matches between the country's northern clubs that carry a rivalry sharpened by distance as much as by the standings.

One championship banner hangs from either half of a club.
