Badureliya Sports Club
Club · Sierra Leone · Major League Tournament
«BSC»
It remains the club's one major honour.
Relegation from Tier A to Tier B followed the 2019–20 Premier Trophy season, a comedown the club had already threatened to resist once before, in late 2008, when it objected to being dropped a division and floated boycotting the domestic tournament altogether rather than accept it quietly.
On the field, the record book at Badureliya now belongs to different names than the 2015 final. Alankara Asanka Silva captains the side and stands as its leading wicket-taker in first-class cricket, while TM Sampath holds the club's first-class run-scoring mark with 374. Sachith Pathirana had a spell as player-cum-head coach in 2018.
The club traces itself to 2004, a year before its first-class debut in the 2005–06 season, and plays in pale blue. There is no grand nickname beyond the initials BSC. Its ground, Surrey Village Cricket Ground in Maggona, opened in 2011 and has since taken first-class and List A fixtures in a corner of Kalutara District.
