Khovd beat Ershim 8-2 in the fourth round of the Premier League on 26 September 2026. The visitors took control early and never looked back, despite Ershim pulling one back through T. Terashima inside three minutes. To be fair, the hosts showed spirit at times, but the gap was always too wide to bridge.

A. Bekhbayar scored in stoppage time to complete the scoring. The final tally saw Khovd net eight goals while Ershim managed two of their own, with the match producing plenty of chances on both sides.
Ershim sit fifth in the table with four games played, two wins, no draws, two losses, and six points. Khovd are fourth after three matches with the same six points, two victories and one defeat.
The hosts' recent results include a 3-2 win over Khovd Western on 21 September, a 1-2 loss to Amtat, and a 1-0 victory against Ulaan City. They also lost 0-3 to Khovd in July 2025 before a 3-5 defeat to Bayanzurkh Sporting.
Khovd's form has been mixed. They were beaten 0-6 by Tuva Azarganuuud on 21 September, but had won 4-0 against Khovd Western and 7-1 against Khoromkhon earlier in the season. They drew 3-3 with Ulaan City and lost 1-6 to Hunters in June.
