In 2021 the youth side of Floresta reached the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil Sub-20, the first team from Ceará to get that far. Botafogo RJ ended it 5–1 on aggregate, but the run had already put a small club from Vila Manoel Sátiro into a round its state had never occupied.

The senior club spent from 1954 to 2015 as an amateur outfit. Dudu Cearense was picked up there before he had played a professional match.

The Estádio Felipe Santiago carries the name of the man who founded the club in 1954, and it sits in the same neighbourhood the club is named after.

The Campeonato Cearense Sub-20 has been won twice, in 2016 and 2020. What the record shows more insistently is the other column: runners-up in 2014, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior brought a quarter-final in 2023, where Palmeiras took the tie 5–0.

Green and white, and Verdão da Vila — the big green of the village.
