Serbia Face Netherlands as Euro Volleyball Groups Continue

Group games in the men's European Championship continue on 14 September, with four ties spread across Modena, Sofia, Tampere and Cluj-Napoca.

In Group C, at Tampere's Sõle kunstmuruväljak, a 500-capacity ground that has hosted the pool since the venue opened in 2018, Serbia face Netherlands at 17:00. Serbia sit third with a 1-2 record and four points, having lost their opening test to hosts Finland, who lead the group unbeaten at 3-0. Netherlands have yet to win, sitting bottom at 0-2, and go into the match already needing results to keep their play-off hopes alive. Estonia and Belgium meet in the same city at 20:00.

Group B action moves to Sofia, where leaders Ukraine, on a perfect 3-0, take on Portugal at 16:00 before hosts Bulgaria play Israel at 19:00. Bulgaria sit third on 2-1 after a single defeat, while Israel have managed just one win in three outings. Israel's roster includes a player who has turned out for Santa Cruz FC since February, still without a goal for the club, though volleyball scoring makes that detail immaterial to Sunday's contest.

Modena stages Group A, where unbeaten Italy top the standings on 9 points from three wins. Slovakia meet Czechia at 17:00, followed by Slovenia against Greece at 22:00. Slovenia sit second on 6 points, Czechia third on 5, while Slovakia and Greece have yet to register a win between them.

In Cluj-Napoca, Group D leaders France, also unbeaten at 3-0, are not in action, but second-placed Germany, level on wins but a point behind, play Switzerland at 17:00. Romania host Turkey at 20:00, with both sides tied on 1-2 and looking for a result to close the gap on the top two.

The top four finishers in each group advance to the play-off stage. Times are given in Moscow time.
