The Pabellón Ciutat de Castelló holds 3,000 people and carries the city's name in Valencian. Inside, the home side wears a dark, intense green, and visitors wear a contrasting colour. Amics del Bàsquet Castelló, founded in 1994, has spent most of its life in the Spanish second and third tiers, the LEB Oro and LEB Plata, now called Primera FEB and Segunda FEB.

The Copa LEB Plata in 2015 changed the club's standing. Castelló beat CEBA Guadalajara in the final and went up. They then stayed in the second division for ten years, until 2024. Over that stretch they reached the LEB Oro playoff quarter-finals twice, in 2018 and 2021. For seven of those years, 2016 to 2023, the sponsor's name was attached and the team was known as TAU Castelló.

Pablo Laso started his coaching career here in the 2003–04 season. He went on to a far bigger stage, but Castelló was where he began. Juan Antonio Orenga, a local, ran the bench from 2021 to 2024, which covers the end of that second-tier decade. The current coach, José Luis Pichel, also played for the club.

Below the first team sits the academy. It runs more than 21 teams and has over 220 children on the roster.
