The club's one title came in the second tier: Liga Femenina 2 in 2012–13, which took the team up to the top flight. Three years after promotion it was in a final. The 2016 Spanish Super Cup ended in a 93–80 defeat by Perfumerías Avenida. In 2017–18 it reached the semi-finals of the Copa de la Reina and went no further.

Europe has been the better stage in recent years. In the 2024–25 EuroCup Women the team came through the group phase with a perfect record and reached the round of 16. The league season went the other way.

The club began in San Sebastián in 2005 as Club Deportivo Ibaeta, and the name on the shirt has followed its sponsors: IDK Euskotren, IDK Gipuzkoa UPV, and from 2026 Mirai Euskotren. Araski is the opponent in the Mendizorrotza derby, and Lointek Gernika Bizkaia in the Basque derby.

Iulene Olabarria spent 16 seasons with the club, across the promotion and the years since.
