Atletico San Luis fell to Santos Laguna 2-3 in the seventh matchday of the Liga MX women's tournament on Sunday. Our prediction had placed the hosts at 59 per cent confidence, and by then it was clear the match had gone elsewhere. The visitors turned a first-half deficit into a comeback after Hernandez-Represa's dismissal shifted the balance.
E. Higuera gave Atletico an early lead in the ninth minute before adding a second just before the interval. G. Lopez pulled one back on 45+2, and the break arrived with the score at 2-1. Santos came out sharper, with N. Diaz equalising on 57 minutes after a period of sustained pressure.
The turning point arrived on 60 minutes when Hernandez-Represa received her second yellow and was sent off. Atletico played the second half a man down and Santos seized the moment. F. Soto scored on 67 minutes to complete the turnaround, and the hosts could not recover after that.
