Viking beat Odd 3-0 in the Women's First Division regular season on 1 August 2026. The result extended the hosts' lead at the top of the table and left Odd further adrift in seventh place. To be fair, the scoreline was no surprise given the form of both sides coming into the match.
Selma Lovas opened the scoring in the 26th minute, finding space inside the box to slot home. Odd's defence had looked shaky in recent games, and Lovas made the difference when it mattered. The goal gave Viking the momentum they needed for the rest of the half.
The second half brought little change, with Viking controlling the tempo from the restart. Odd struggled to win the ball back and looked second to everything in midfield. By then, the hosts were playing the second half a man up in terms of confidence.
Martine Kjolholdt Hauge doubled the lead in the 50th minute, finishing sharply after a quick passing move. She added a second six minutes later, making it clear she should have too much for Odd's defenders. The striker's brace put the result beyond doubt.
Viking now sit second in the table with 19 points from eight games, having won six and lost once. Odd remain in seventh with nine points after two wins, three draws and three defeats. The gap between them has widened considerably.
The hosts had won five of their last eight matches, including a 3-4 defeat to Start Women earlier in the season. Odd, meanwhile, had drawn 3-3 with Viking at home on 13 June, but this time the result told a different story. The old head settled them down when it mattered.
Odd cannot afford another slip if they want to climb away from the lower half. Viking, by contrast, are weighing up a move to extend their run. The draw brought them together early, but now the line has barely moved between them.
