Gucha Stars

Gucha Stars secured promotion to the FKF National Super League for the 2025/2026 season, lost it, and then got it back. The dispute began with an abandoned match against Nakuru Bucks FC; the Football Kenya Federation's Leagues and Competitions Committee first ruled in the club's favour, then reversed the decision after finding Gucha Stars had fielded an ineligible player, Eugene Nyakaga. A separate appeal reinstated the promotion.

The club draws its players and its support from Gucha Sub-County in Kisii County, and had spent the previous campaign dominating Zone B of the FKF Division One before the play-off dispute.

Home matches are played some distance from Gucha itself, at Gusii Stadium in Kisii Town, also known as Simeon Nyachae Stadium, with a listed capacity of 5,000.
