Tanabi Esporte Clube fields its Sub-20 side out of a small city in the São Paulo interior, the same green-and-white shirt as the senior team that took shape there on 18 December 1942. The badge, the colours, even the club anthem's opening line about the "camisa bicolor" all point back to that first team, and the youngsters carry it into the Campeonato Paulista Sub-20 without a competition record of their own to show for it — no state youth title yet sits alongside the club's name.

What the shirt does carry is the weight of 2025, when the senior side finally broke a run that had stood since 1956 — the year Tanabi won the Campeonato Paulista Série A3, its only piece of state silverware until last year. Sixty-nine years passed before the club won anything else, and it did so in the Segunda Divisão, beating ECUS 2-0 away and 1-0 at home in the final. That result pushed the first team up into the Série A4, and it changed what the Sub-20 group trains toward: a first team no longer stuck in the lower tiers, with a home ground, the Estádio Municipal Alberto Victolo, better known locally as Albertão.
