The Estadio Olímpico Carlos Iturralde Rivero holds 21,050 and stands in Mérida.
In 1988 the businessman Jorge Arana Palma bought the Segunda División franchise of Alacranes Rojos de Apatzingán; the paperwork was completed on 2 September. It played its first season as Venados de Yucatán, losing 3–1 to Potros Neza.
It was Atlético Yucatán from 1997, Mérida FC from 2003, and Venados FC again only from 2015. The second promotion came in the Clausura 2009, again past a Tijuana side, again by a single goal on aggregate. Neither stay in the top flight lasted: the licence went before the football did.
Yellow at home, white away, black in support.
