IMT Novi-Belgrad hosted Crvena Zvezda on 13 September in the Super League's ninth round of fixtures. The visitors took all three points with a single goal from Vasilije Kostov. The match ended 0:1 after ninety minutes plus stoppage time.

By then the match had settled into its rhythm. Kostov found space around the thirty-first minute to slot home, and the visitors held on grimly after that. To be fair, IMT pushed forward but lacked the sharpness to trouble the defence.
