«Phoenix»
Central Division titles are what the Sherbrooke Phoenix have to show for their run in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League — three of them, in 2019–20, 2021–22 and 2022–23, though the first came with no playoffs to follow it.
The franchise exists because another one folded. When the Lewiston MAINEiacs disbanded, the QMJHL granted Sherbrooke an expansion team, and the Phoenix took the ice for the 2012–13 season. Jocelyn Thibault, a goaltender who had played for those earlier Sherbrooke sides before his NHL career, leads the ownership group that brought the game back.
Games are played at the Palais des Sports Léopold-Drolet.
Victoriaville supplies the rivalry that matters most, the two sides meeting in what gets called the Derby canadien.
