Drummondville's Voltigeurs go into another Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season carrying the President's Cup. The club plays out of the Centre Marcel-Dionne, seating 4,000, and wears black, red, silver and white.

The franchise dates to 1982, an expansion entry that has no lineage to the Drummondville Rangers, who had already come and gone from the city between 1969 and 1974. Beyond the two President's Cups, the Voltigeurs finished third when they won the league title in 2009.

Route 122 runs between Drummondville and Victoriaville, and the two towns argue over more than hockey along it — poutine's disputed origins sit alongside the QMJHL rivalry the road has lent its name to.

Sean Couturier's number 7 hangs from the rafters at the Centre Marcel-Dionne, retired after he moved through the Voltigeurs' lineup. Daniel Brière, Steve Duchesne, Ian Laperrière and René Corbet went the same way through Drummondville before him, their numbers retired alongside his.
