In April 2012 the Colisée Pepsi filled past capacity for a playoff series against the Halifax Mooseheads that drew 75,013 spectators over the round. It captured something the Remparts have built since 1997, when the Beauport Harfangs franchise moved into Quebec City and took a name already retired twice — first worn by the club drawn from the old Quebec Aces in 1969, a lineage that ran through the Longueuil and Verdun Collège Français sides before folding in 1994.

That earlier run, four President's Cups between 1970 and 1976, belongs to the original Remparts and to a dressing room that produced Guy Lafleur and Michel Goulet.

They play now at the Centre Vidéotron, seating 18,259, and wear red, white and black after dropping the beige trim in 2013. The name refers to the ramparts still standing around the old city, though supporters just as often call the team Les Rouges.
