Talmassons Women

Promotion to Serie A1 in 2024 came from the smallest municipality with a side in Serie A2, and Talmassons took it the hard way, through the play-offs rather than as champions. The club dropped straight back down the following season, then returned to the top flight in 2026, a second climb that carries less shock and more expectation than the first.

The team traces back to 1991, registered with the Italian federation two years later, and still plays under the name of a village rather than the larger town of Latisana, where its Palazzetto dello Sport stands. Pink and black are the club colours, and where a nickname is needed, people reach for "le friulane" rather than anything printed on a badge.

The fixture that matters locally is against Libertas Martignacco, played out as the Derby Friulano, a meeting that carries weight beyond the table position of either side. Ambrogio Cattelan presides over the club, while Fabio Parazzoli has taken charge of a squad built in part from its own youth sector.

Rebecca Feruglio came through that sector and is the name attached most closely to what Talmassons has become: proof that a club from a place this size can still produce a player rather than simply import one.
