PalaFontescodella holds 2,100 and gives Macerata's women a fixed base through a name history that has otherwise shifted with every sponsor. The club itself is a merger: in 2001 the men's Polisportiva Montalbano Colleverde, formed in 1984, handed its women's section to Helvia Recina Volley, a team Tito Antinori had put together in the early 1990s. That transfer produced the club now known as HR Volley, playing in orange and black.

Sponsorship has renamed the side repeatedly — Acqua Roana Mosca, then Roana Mosca CBF, then Roana CBF, and since 2020 CBF Balducci. What has changed is its level. Promotion to Serie A1 came in 2022, dropped away, and returned in 2025, both times settled through the Serie A2 playoffs. In between, in the 2020-21 season, the club beat LPM BAM Mondovì 3-0 in Rimini to take the Serie A2 Coppa Italia. Valerio Lionetti was in charge for the 2024-25 promotion.

Macerata's fixture of note is against Megabox Vallefoglia, the derby marchigiano, since both clubs come from the same region.
