Cuneo Women no longer takes the court. Between "Le Gatte" reaching the Coppa Italia quarter-finals three times — in 2018-19, 2021-22 and 2022-23 — the club's ambitions were real, but the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana all stayed out of reach.

Cuneo's presence in Serie A1 Women was never fully its own. In 2018 the club took over the top-flight licence from River Volley Piacenza, a side that had won two league titles, two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana trophies before folding. Along the way it changed its sponsored name almost as often as its league status, playing at various times as Armando BreBanca Cuneo, S.Bernardo Cuneo, Bosca S.Bernardo Cuneo and Honda Olivero S.Bernardo Cuneo.

The one trophy that stuck was a modest one: the Alassio Sanremo Cup, a pre-season tournament, rather than anything decided in the league.

Before her, it was Aurea Cruz of Puerto Rico who carried the armband first, as the club's inaugural Serie A1 captain.
