Black Angels Perugia head into Serie A1 having climbed back to the top flight in 2024.

The club has no connection to Sirio Perugia, the team that once won three Serie A1 titles and two European Cups before folding in 2011. What plays today grew out of Wealth Planet, a fitness company that entered volleyball only in 2010-11 and absorbed Pallavolo Etruria Corciano the following year. In June 2024 the club adopted the Black Angels name and the red-and-black colours that go with it.

Matches are played at Pala Barton Energy, formerly known as Pala Evangelisti, in front of just under 4,000 seats.
