Vero Volley Milano Women

Monza's volleyball club spent its first 35 years as Pro Victoria, and the name changed only when sponsors came in. It had started in 1981 as Unione Sportiva Provictoria Pallavolo Monza. Saugella took over in 2016, Vero Volley in 2021 and Vero Volley Milano a year later. Since 2024 the full title has been Numia Vero Volley Milano.

The 2022–23 season moved the team's sporting activity to Milan, while the registered seat stayed in Monza. That explains the nickname Le Meneghine, "the Milanese women", which Italian sports media use for a club with a Monza address. Most games are still played in Monza's Palazzetto dello Sport, which holds 4,100. The bigger nights go to the Allianz Cloud Arena in Milan, which holds 5,420.

Paola Egonu has captained the side since 2023. She won Olympic gold in 2024 and World Championship gold in 2025 with Italy. The club had reached the Serie A1 final in 2021–22 and again in 2022–23, and Egonu's arrival did not change the result. It reached the Coppa Italia final in 2023–24 and lost. In 2024–25 it lost both the league final and the cup final.

All of those finals were against Imoco Conegliano, who beat Monza and Milan's side each time. In 2025 the two met in the Supercoppa Italiana at Pala Trieste, in Trieste. Vero Volley won a dramatic final, and it was the club's first national title. The opponent was the same one that had stood in the way in every earlier final.
