Boras Basket — Nassjo: 75:79, Basketligan

Borås lost 75-79 to Näshö in the Swedish Basketball League on Thursday. The visitors took the points away from a side that had been riding momentum. It was a result we hadn't expected to see.

And here's the thing — we had backed the hosts at two-thirds confidence. The game simply refused to follow that script. Näshö's visitors didn't need much to turn it around.

The visitors had lost four of their last five against Norrköping before this one. By then they'd already beaten Borås earlier in the season, and that history added an edge. This time around they closed the game out when it mattered.

Näshö managed 40.0% shooting from the field compared to 37.9% for the hosts, but they won the battle at the line. They made 18 of 27 free throws while Borås completed just 12 of 16. The visitors also committed half as many turnovers — five against twelve — and that difference was decisive.

The win keeps Näshö in seventh place with 14 wins from 30 matches. Borås remain fourth despite the defeat, still holding 21 victories. The gap between them is now seven points rather than six.

The hosts dominated the boards with 42 rebounds to 31, but they couldn't convert that advantage. Three-point shooting was even — 13 makes from 39 attempts for Borås against nine from 21 for Näshö. The game was decided elsewhere.
