Brandys nad Labem Women

Kateřina Elhotová and Alena Hanušová both wore this shirt, and both were named Player of the Year in the Czech league, which says something about the level this club once operated at under a different name. The roots go back to 1992, when the side began life in Prague as TJ Spoje. It changed hands and names repeatedly over the following decade — DASCom Praha, then DSK Basketball, then spells as DSK Karlín and DSK Basketball Nymburk.

In 2019 the top-flight licence was sold to Chomutov, and what remained had to start again in the lower leagues, working in cooperation with BK Brandýs nad Labem and settling in the town of Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav.

Home games are played at a hall that holds 200 people. The promotion back to the ŽBL, secured for the 2023–2024 season, closed the gap the 2019 sale had opened. The squad now measures itself against sides such as USK Praha and Slovanka, no longer as the club it was in Prague, but as the one that had to climb back to the top division from where it landed.
