By then, the standings had shifted in Toluca's favour. The visitors sit third after five games with four wins and one draw, accumulating 13 points. Atlante remain 15th with just one victory from five matches and three points on the board.
The result ended Atlante's brief run of form — their previous three games included a 1-0 win over Necaxa, but losses to Cruz Azul and Monterrey. Toluca's recent results show consistency, including a 1-1 draw with Atlas and a 2-0 victory over Juarez Women. The gap between the two sides in the table now looks wider than it did at the start of the season.
