B71 claimed a comprehensive 7-0 victory over NSI II in their 1. deild Regular Season clash on Saturday, 1 August 2026. The hosts were never in doubt as they dismantled the visitors at their own ground. It was a performance that reflected the gulf between the sides in the standings.
And here's the thing about this one — B71 had the ball and the space from the opening exchanges. M. Svane opened the scoring in the fourteenth minute, putting the home side ahead. L. Orneborg doubled the lead just ten minutes later before adding another in the thirty-first. By then, the result was already looking beyond doubt.
NSI II had little to offer in attack and even less in defence. T. Knudsen turned the tie further in B71's favour with an own goal in the thirty-eighth minute. It was followed almost immediately by T. Koktvedgaard's strike in the thirty-ninth. The visitors simply had nothing to do all evening.
The second half brought more of the same for the home side. Svane completed his brace in the sixty-second minute before Koktvedgaard added his second in the sixty-sixth. B71 went through the motions with confidence, while NSI II could only watch on.
The statistics tell only part of the story. B71 have now played 22 games with 18 wins, two draws and two losses, sitting on 56 points at the top. NSI II, meanwhile, have seven wins, four draws and 11 defeats, accumulating just 25 points in sixth place. The gap between them is substantial.
Recent form makes the result less surprising. B71 came into this match with three wins in their last five league games, including a 5-0 thrashing of Viking II. NSI II had lost three of their previous five matches, notably a 4-0 defeat to Suduroy.
The win extends B71's lead at the summit and leaves NSI II with work to do if they are to climb. Seven goals without reply is a statement result, one that will be talked about for some time.
