Suduroy Double-Down on NSI II with Another Four-Zero Rout
Suduroy saw off NSI II 4-0 at home in the 1. deild, Regular Season round 20. The hosts had already beaten their visitors 4-0 back in July, and this time the pattern held. By then the gulf between them was plain to see.
And here's the thing about that opening moment — an own goal from S. Hansen in the 22nd minute. Suduroy pressed high, the ball found its way to Hansen, and the rest followed naturally. The visitors switched off at the back, and the scoreboard opened.
The second half brought a flood. S. Bech got on the scoresheet at 47 minutes, then M. D. Djurhuus added a second just two minutes later at 49. To be fair, the tempo didn't let up; NSI II couldn't settle into any shape of their own.
S. Bech completed his brace in the 72nd minute, and the visitors had seen the game out by then. Four goals, two of them in quick succession after the break, and the result was never in doubt.
What the numbers tell you is straightforward. Suduroy sit third with 44 points from 21 games — 14 wins, two draws, five losses. NSI II are seventh on 22 points, six wins, four draws, 11 defeats. The gap is 22 points now.
Their recent form tells the rest. Suduroy beat EB/Streymur II 6-1 last weekend, while NSI II lost 1-4 to Vikingur II on the same day. They had already met in July, and now they've met again with the same scoreline. Sometimes the story writes itself.
