Suduroy moved clear in third place with a 4-2 victory over B36 II on Saturday evening in the 1. Deild regular season. The visitors took all three points from Tórsvøllur to tighten their grip on the automatic promotion spots. B36 II remain in seventh with twenty-three points after twenty-two matches.
The home side started brighter, with S. Bech opening the scoring in the thirteenth minute. He doubled that advantage five minutes later before R. Soylu had a penalty saved in the twenty-first. That miss shifted momentum, and by then Suduroy were finding their rhythm.
We had backed the visitors at sixty-seven per cent confidence before kickoff, and the result confirmed that view. J. Leo equalised in the forty-first and completed his brace early in the second half. Suduroy were weighing up a move towards control rather than panic.
S. Djumic pulled one back in the seventy-second to keep hope alive at home. But D. Videro ended any arguments with a late strike in the eighty-first. The academy graduate marked his first start with a goal, and the result stood.
On the table, the gap between third and seventh now stretches to twenty-four points. Suduroy sit on forty-seven from fifteen wins and two draws, while B36 II have won only seven of twenty-two outings.
The visitors extended a run of four unbeaten games and ended a two-match losing streak away from home. B36 II dropped another point in their search for consistency after that late equaliser against the top sides.
