Salta remembers the season Juventud Antoniana finished top of Torneo Argentino A in 1995–96 and did it again two years later. Before either title, though, the club had already spent decades winning at home: twenty-one championships of the Liga Salteña de Fútbol, the first arriving in 1928, the most recent in 2021, a gap wide enough to cover most of the club's existence.
The Franciscan order founded the club in Salta on 12 January 1916. For most of the twentieth century the side played at Estadio Fray Honorato Pistoia, a ground known locally as El Santuario, opened in 1931 and holding around 8,000 people before later work pushed capacity closer to 11,000. Since 2001 home matches have shifted to the larger Estadio Padre Ernesto Martearena, built for over 20,000.
The most recent silverware came in the Torneo Regional Federal Amateur of 2021–22. The five Copa Confraternidad Salta-Jujuy wins, spread between 1984 and 1999, belong to the first track.
