The biggest medal in the club's history came in 2013, when Juventud Unida Univ. won the Torneo Argentino A. The team went through the final stage against a field of rivals before facing Santamarina de Tandil in the final, drawing 1-1 in the second leg and taking the title on aggregate and home advantage.

Before that, the closest the club had come to the top flight was 1979, playing under the name Alianza Juventud Pringles after a merger with Deportivo Pringles. That side became the first club from San Luis Province to reach the Torneo Nacional, Argentina's top division.

The club dates to 15 April 1914, and its finances went through a private restructuring in 2003, when the football operation passed to a company called Balón S.A. under president Pablo Esser, which put the club back into national tournaments. A decade later came the 2013 title. The club dropped back into the Torneo Federal A in 2016 after being relegated from the second division.

Juventud Unida play in yellow and blue, the "auriazul" colours that give the team its nickname, El Juve, at the Estadio Mario Sebastián Diez.
