Games in Rincón de los Sauces are played inside a union compound. The Estadio Elías Moisés Gómez stands within the grounds of the Camping del Sindicato de Petroleros Privados.

Deportivo Rincón exists because of that same union. The Sindicato de Petroleros Privados founded the club on 9 September 2012, backed by then-mayor Marcelo Rucci, to give the town's young people somewhere to train and play. Rincón de los Sauces sits in Neuquén province, and the club carries that into its nickname: El León, sometimes lengthened to El León del Norte.

It turned in 2021, when Rincón beat Atlético Maronese 2-0 in the final of the Copa Neuquén de Lifune and won a place in the Torneo Regional Federal Amateur. The club topped the Patagonia zone and went up to Torneo Federal A for the first time in its history. A run to the quarterfinals, still the best Rincón has managed at that level.
