The result keeps both sides in their current positions, with Belgrano remaining fifth and Estudiantes still fifteenth after sixteen games each.
The hosts took the lead when M. Garnerone found the net in the seventy-fourth minute, but Belgrano doubled their advantage shortly after through L. Gutierrez in the eighty-second. That should have been enough, but L. Passerini equalised for Estudiantes in the ninety-fifth minute, and here's the thing — that late goal changed everything about how the match would be remembered.
There were plenty of changes on both sides, with Belgrano making four substitutions between the forty-sixth and eightieth minutes. Estudiantes brought on I.
