CB Getafe

In 2025 Getafe travelled to Zaragoza for the final phase of the Tercera FEB and came home as winners of their promotion group. That result took a club from the south of Madrid up into the Segunda FEB, where they are playing this season.

The club was built to get somewhere like that. In 2014 the town's two main basketball sides, Getafe Beta and Pool Getafe, merged under the Fundación Incorpora. Felipe Reyes, the Real Madrid and Spain forward, became honorary president. Iñaki de Miguel, an international player who became technical director, was among the people who put the merger together. For the first two seasons the new club played as Viten Getafe. The first season ended in the quarter-finals of the LEB Plata.

The years after that were slower. The most useful thread runs through Andrés Miso Molina, the club's best-known product from its own youth system. He took over as head coach in August 2020, and the season that followed ended with Getafe as group champions in the 1.ª División (Grupo Par A). Promotion to the Liga EBA came in 2021-22. Raúl Robles came the same way, promoted from the B team, which is how a club with more than 300 children in its academy hopes to fill its first-team squad.

The colours are blue and yellow. Home games are played at the Pabellón Juan de la Cierva, which holds about 4,000.

The nearest rival is CB Fuenlabrada, a neighbour in the south of Madrid. Local usage calls the fixture the derbi del baloncesto de la zona sur de Madrid, the south Madrid basketball derby.
