The visitors, already sitting third in the table, made no mistake against a home side that had been inconsistent in recent weeks.
And here's the thing about this match — it was settled before the interval. D. Castro gave Deportivo Limache hope with a second-minute opener, but then the game turned. A Jean David goal was cancelled by VAR for offside in the fortieth minute, and by then the visitors had taken control. Two goals from F. Hormazabal in stoppage time, ninety-five and ninety-three seconds apart, put Universidad de Chile 3-1 up at the break.
