The away side took all three points at the home ground, with two second-half goals proving decisive. The result leaves the visitors still searching for form while the hosts' unbeaten run comes to an end.
The opening half belonged to Jagiellonia in terms of territory, though the game was broken up by stoppages. By then, four yellow cards had already been issued before the interval — Fornalczyk, Kornvig, Kapuadi and Agbonifo all picked up bookings. The visitors sat deeper, content to let the game flow through their opponents' possession.
Everything changed after the break. Bergier put Widzew ahead in the 52nd minute, and Alvarez doubled the lead just two minutes later. Jagiellonia were left exposed, unable to regroup before the visitors made their advantage clear. The home side pressed forward but could not create anything meaningful from their efforts.
